Steel Magnolias
Summer Production 2023
13th - 17th June

An Nuadha Players performed Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, directed by Tom Brady-Connor, in Maynooth Community College from the 13th - 17th June 2023.
Truvy Jones runs a successful beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies in the neighbourhood have a standing Saturday appointment. Along with her anxious and eager assistant, Annelle, Truvy styles the hair of many of the women about town: wealthy widow and former first lady of Chinquapin, Clairee Belcher, local curmudgeon Ouiser Boudreaux, intelligent and compassionate career woman M’Lynn, and her daughter Shelby, the prettiest girl in town. Shelby’s engagement is the talk of the town, but the joy and excitement of her wedding quickly turn to concern as she faces a risky pregnancy and a myriad of health complications.
Congratulations to our amazing cast, crew & fantastic director, Tom, on an absolutely incredible run of Steel Magnolias!!
The reviews and support have been unbelievable and very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who came down to see the play, to the individuals and businesses who donated raffle prizes, to everyone who gave their time to help get the show to the stage, and to Lukasz Betkowski for the wonderful photos.
